Patient Stats

Patient Concerns:
This patient had an incompletely torn earlobe. As a result, only hoop type of earrings would stay in.

Surgical Goal:
The goal of the operation was to remove the healed torn & stretched earlobe, so that it could be pierced in the future and hold regular earrings.

Surgical Notes:
The incomplete tear is treated like the complete tear. A wedge of tissue is removed and the ear is repaired with sutures. The procedure is done in the office under local anesthesia, and usually takes only about 20 minutes.

Time Since Surgery:
4 weeks

Patient Testimonial:
"I am so tickled to be able to finally wear post earrings. This was such a small thing, I really wish I had done it years ago."

Age: 54
