Patient Stats

Patient Concerns:
Premature aging, due to sun exposure, and weight fluctuations. The patient was concerned that she looked old and tired, while she felt youthful and energetic. This patient wanted to look as young and vital as she felt.

Surgical Goal:
The goals of surgery were to rejuvenate the entire face and create a natural, youthful, and attractive appearance.

Surgical Notes:
The forehead descended slightly creating flattening and lowering of the brows, with mild asymmetry. The upper eyelids had hooding, especially laterally, and mild bags due to fat. The lower lids were puffy due to fat pads, and overactive eyelid muscles, and redundant skin. The cheek skin lost elasticity and the cheek fat pad was starting to sag. These factors caused the nasolabial creases to become pronounced (and asymmetrical) and jowls to form causing loss of lower jaw line definition. The neck line was obscured by lax skin, a small amount of fat and vertical bands produced by the platysma muscles. All of these elements were addressed in order to produce a balanced and attractive youthful appearance.

Time Since Surgery:
Approximately 5 months

Patient Testimonial:
"I hated looking old, especially my neck. I really feel good about myself, and I have a lot more confidence."

Age: 51

Height: 5'5

Weight 140 lbs

This patient underwent endoscopic brow lift, lower eyelid blepharoplasty (eyelid lift), and lower face lift (cheek and neck lift). She decided not to have an upper eyelid blepharoplasty. In the future, she would benefit from Coblation skin resurfacing, especially around the eyes to smooth out wrinkles caused by excessive sun exposure.
