To plump up the upper lip, minimize the bleed lines, create a natural attractive lip.

Surgical Notes:
This patient underwent a lower face lift (note wrinkles around the mouth or ( )'s have softened and changed). The "SMAS" connective tissue layer below the skin that would otherwise be discarded after surgery was utilized to enhance the lip because of its tendency to be a permanent or nearly permanent augmentation.
